Corey Leikauf for Treasurer-Tax Collector 2026

Meet Corey-

I grew up and attended K-12 in El Dorado County where my family has been residents for over 25 years. I wrestled and played baseball and football at Union Mine, was an El Dorado County Explorer for many years and graduated in 2010 with honors. I moved to Boise, Idaho for school to attend Boise State University where I met my wife of 10 years, Klerisa. From there, I graduated with my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting while serving as Vice President of my Accounting Honors Society, Beta Alpha Psi.

Throughout earning my degree, I built my career in banking at US Bank and progressed into public accounting with firms, Deloitte & Touche and Eide Bailly where I learned the importance of transparency, protecting public resources, and ensuring accountability while aspiring to work more closely with community members.

I understand the responsibility that comes with serving the community I call home and am excited to continue my service where I plan to grow my own family. I am currently a resident of Cameron Park with my wife and our two Boston terriers, Cliff and Gus.

Currently, I serve in the Auditor Controller’s Office where I review internal financial controls and compliance requirements, public fund management, and disbursement of funds to county vendors for contractual services. I have the privilege to work with many different groups and have enjoyed connecting with so many individuals all over El Dorado County.

It would be my greatest privilege to serve as the Treasurer-Tax Collector of our county.
